When you think of audioBase.com perhaps you imagine other-worldly loops of syncopated beats and fat bass-synth lines for your latest club monster. Luckily we have plenty of those!
However what you might not be aware of is our collection of top quality loops featuring traditional instruments from some very serious session musicians. Folk, rock, blues, classical and jazz styles are covered and can be used in your bands latest demo, a track for a singer you are producing or perhaps twisted and effected into something else completely.
Some suggestions for you might be Michael Root or Stuart Sweeney's incredible series of drum kit loops or a more worldly percussive approach with Reed Clayton. What's New In AudioBase 4.0?
Welcome to the new and much improved audioBase.com 4.0
It has been a busy year for us behind the scenes here at audioBase.com. Since re-launching the site in 2011 we have had a steady increase of creators, uploading, sharing and using the audioBase.com loop collection to produce wonderful music. The collection and community surrounding this unique resource has being growing in all directions through a number of niches and genres all with the common creative goal of musicality. We are very pleased with what the site has to offer and even more pleased with the projected future picture as it looks bright indeed!
The most obvious change you will notice will be in the new design and look of the site. We know that the audioBase.com community is a creative bunch of folks and the new look reflects that! We want to be an add-on to your familiar studio set-up whether it be at home in your project studio, on the road with your laptop or in the full on production house. All the inspiration your next project needs is right here and we are hoping the new and improved lay-out and navigation will bring that even closer to your intimate, creative environment.
One major feature of the new site is more presence and focus on the artist. We know it's all about the creators and a major piece of the puzzle here has been how to best serve our artistic community. We offer a forum for up and coming producers to present their creative endeavours on an equal platform next to some very established artists. A great place to promote your sounds to other artists, network, and build a following that will lead to awareness of releases and performances. We have altered the presentation of the loop-packs to put your artistic identity at the forefront with links to an artist page and your other loop-packs within easy reach to users.
Another way that audioBase.com genuinely strives to benefit artists is monetarily. Making loop-packs is a great way to re-purpose studio sessions and musical sketches. It is also a respectable release platform with no distributor or label in the middle of the payout. 50% of $4.50 USD is considerably higher than the percentage and total amount involved in the sale of a digital track or even EP releases in today's digital music retail environment. There currently is no site or retailer offering a similar situation or price-point for the sale of a sample pack, so welcome to a whole new musical opportunity.
At audio base.com we think outside the box and the result is a creative resource with many angles geared toward building a positive artistic community and offering the best and most intensive sample collection of the internet at a reasonable cost to users and maximum possible benefit for contributors.

Shane Berry is a music producer and live performer currently living in Belgrade, Serbia.
Based in Japan from 2000 - 2011 he performed regularly on the underground techno scene in Tokyo with some of Japan's finest talent. His energetic and legendary live shows in Tokyo for Taico Club and other events at world class clubs such as Womb, Yellow, Module and Ageha have seen him share the stage with artists such as Nathan Fake, Aril Brikha and Dominik Eulberg.
Producer of the notable record “Fillertet 2” on Trapez LTD, a huge underground club hit championed by DJs such as Sven Vath and Richie Hawtin and remixed by Dominik Eulberg and Gabriel Ananda, Shane`s clever arrangements and fat sounds have blown away dance floors around the world.
